Choose What You’ll Use ! Stop Food Waste Day !

On April 24th, let’s put a stop to wasting food and make every snack count! Did you know that vending machines can also play a part in reducing leftover stock? Here’s how:

1. Smart stocking: At The FM Taste Vending, we carefully monitor inventory and restock our machines with fresh, high-demand items. This helps ensure that snacks are always available to use and reduces the likelihood of products going to waste.
2. Variety without excess: Our vending machines offer a diverse selection of snacks to cater to different tastes. By providing a range of options without overstocking, we minimize the risk of unsold items being discarded.

3. Sustainable packaging: We prioritize eco-friendly packaging options for our snacks, such as compostable wrappers and recyclable materials. Choosing sustainable packaging helps reduce environmental impact and contributes to a greener future.
4. Donation initiatives: In partnership with local charities, we donate surplus snacks from our vending machines to those in need. This food waste solution not only but also supports our community.

Did you know that approximately one-third of all food produced globally goes to waste? Let’s change that together! Here are some tips to help you play your part:

Plan your meals: Over 60% of household food waste comes from homes in the Uk, so why not take a few minutes each week to plan your meals and make a shopping list. This helps avoid buying more than you need.

Love your leftovers: Get creative with leftover ingredients and meals. Turn them into new dishes or freeze them for later.

Proper storage: Store fruits and veggies properly to extend their freshness. Use airtight containers or resealable bags to keep food fresh for longer. (Hack of the month- embrace imperfect produce: Don’t judge a fruit or vegetable by its appearance! Embrace imperfect produce to reduce waste and support sustainability)

Fruit, except bananas and pineapples, keeps fresher for longer in the fridge. Take out what you’ll eat that day so it’s at room temperature for the best taste.)

Donate excess food: If you have surplus food that you can’t use, consider donating it to local food banks or shelters.

Together, we can make a difference and work towards a more sustainable future. Let’s stop food waste in its tracks! 🌟♻️
